I could not put this book down and finished it in half a day. Crystal has a way of making you feel what the characters feel. I cried, got pissed and was speechless while reading Seize Me. If you love books that keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time, then Seize Me is a book for you 

Excerpt~

I sit up and edge myself off the bed. I slowly make my way to the bathroom. When I reach the doorframe, I close my eyes as I lean on the door. I take three deep breaths before I reopen them. I’ll never forget this moment. The moment where my legs become jelly and my hand grips the doorknob for support. With his back turned to me, the water cascades down the ripples of his muscled body. His shoulder blades flex as his palms rest on the shower wall and his head tilts down. Braxxon’s back is entirely covered in tattoos, but the one that stands out the most is the intricate spine with breaks going through it from the back of his neck all the way down. The word breakneck splits in two: break on the left side of his shoulder and neck on the right. It almost matches the skeleton figure I’ve seen with the broken neck and the head tilted to the side decorating the back of the cuts. The globes of his ass are strong and firm, and it makes me want to dig my fingernails deep into the skin of them. His left hand leaves the wall and runs through his short brown locks. His body starts to turn as his head tilts back and the water runs over his closed eyes. I suck in a breath and start to lose my balance even as the door tries to keep me steady. My gaze is stuck and mesmerized on this magnificent man. Sculptors would fight to the death to get a hold of him. His eyebrows are perfect. His eyelashes are so long and dark, any woman would be jealous. His nose is the perfect size for his strong jawbone; his gorgeous lips pierced twice. The hoops sitting right next to one another have a small chain connecting them. How did I not feel them both? I felt just the one. 

My feet move me closer as I push off the door. My gaze travels over his chest and my palms begin to sweat as my eyes land on a chiseled eight-pack that has a faint scar running through them. His V dips so far in I just want to run my tongue along the depths of that valley. His happy trail fades away to nothing but a freshly shaved area. Oh, he’s so clean cut and yet dirty at the same time and to make his flawed free body even more astonishing is his long thick cock hanging flaccid. I move my attention back to his face, his eyes still closed as his lips twitch into a crooked smile. He feels me. I step into the shower and run my nail along his scar. Braxxon’s eyes fly open, and I gasp as his hand catches me and his gray eyes stop me. 

In that moment where my mind, body and soul are assaulted, I know that I’ll never be the same ever again. Braxxon has seized me, and something tells me he isn’t letting me go.

When I was asked to read this by Eve for a review, I anxiously said YES!  I am a sucker for bad boys, some of my favorite book boyfriends are bad boys.  I will definitely be adding Jesse to this list.

The story starts out with us getting to know Jesse Morrison.  He is a hot MESS! He is basically the a man whore to end all man whores.  He don't care what happens to him after he screws up his hand in a motorcross race. He is basicly drinking, doing drugs, and sleeping around without a care in the world. Without racing, he feels that his life is pretty much useless.  After one near death experience, he brother decides that it is time for a change of scenery and sends him to help out their uncle in California.

We also meet Niki.  She is a 22 year old just graduating college student who is trying to decide what she wants to do with her life.  She has always done what was expected of her from her over protective/opinionated father and decides it is time to live her own life.  She moves out of his house and in with her fun loving best friend, take a year off between law school and college and decides to find herself.  Along the way- she finds Jesse.

It was fun to watch Jesse and Niki evolve and their relationship to grow.  While they are doing that, they are growing as characters that you start to root for and hope that they get their HEA, but will they?   I will admit at the beginning of the book I was not loving Jesse at all.  He was one of those characters that you wanted to punch and ask "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING". I loved Niki from the start.  She was a girl with spunk and was not going to let a little bump in the road get in her way. With her best friend at her side she is learning the world, and having fun at the same time. 

Some of my favorite moments of the book are when Jesse and Niki are getting to know each other and evolve into the people that they are at the end of the book.  Opening up to one another about their pasts and what they want in the future.  Jesse gets help that he never expected from Chase, a friend of Niki's from high school and Jesse's co-worker at the bar his uncle owns. 

One of my favorite quotes from the book are when Jesse and Niki are talking about Jesse having any help from a therapist for the problems he was having.  His answer "Yes, I had some help. His name is Jack. Jack Daniels".

It does take a bit of time for these two to "Get to it" per say, but when they do WOW OH WOW is it HOT!

Eve Carter has me hooked and the end of the book was not enough for me.  I can't wait for the end of August when she gives us Book 2.  There are some cliffy's in this book that defiantly rake you in for it!

IT HAPPENED IN VEGAS. I can't be held responsible. Things that happen there are supposed to stay there, right? Right? Yeeeah. Not so much.

  How long have you been writing?  What did you do before you were a writer?

I've been writing since January of 2012.  Before that I was a lot of things … most recently an attorney.  But you can add the following other jobs to the list:  retail sales clerk, air traffic controller (in the Air Force), waitress, restaurant owner, stock broker, insurance salesperson, professor, and CEO of a medical device company.  I'm one of those people who gets bored easily, so after being in a job for a few years, I need a change so I can be challenged again.  The beauty of being a writer is it's never the same job twice, and it really doesn't feel like work.  It's the best job I've ever had, hands down.  It's the only job in the world were you walk into work (in my case, open the computer) and your boss starts the day by telling you how amazing you are.  My readers are my bosses now, and I wouldn't have it any other way.  They really are great motivators. :)

Why do you live in France?

I came here for a vacation with my husband in 2007 and we both fell in love with it.  After the economy took a downturn and my husband lost his job, we started talking about simplifying our lives and focusing on different things.  That's when the idea of living in a foreign country came up.  We wanted to do it for one year, to give our three kids the opportunity to experience another culture and learn another language while also refocusing our grown-up lives to get away from the rampant materialism that had kind of taken over everything.  And we loved France, so it seemed like the logical place to go.  Once we were here, we fell in love more deeply and decided to stay indefinitely.  We still love our home country of course, but for now, we're content with a very laid back life in the south of France.  What can I say … we love wine and cheese ALOT
